THE FACULTY Of HOMEOPATHY MALAYSIA (FAHOM)
was formed in 1979 at Kota Bharu, Malaysia by Lord Pandit Prof Dr Nik Omar and
its membership is limited.
THE AIMS of our Institute is "To advance the
Scientific study and professional practice of’ ‘Alternative Medicines’
in Malaysia and all over the world and
Thus encouraging its development by promoting
research, lying high standards of professional ethics, competence, conduct,
education, qualification and achievement amongst practitioners
Promoting the dissemination of knowledge and thought
about Alternative Medicine through meeting, lectures, seminars, workshops,
reports, papers, discussions, publications and professional contacts, with the
wide interest and inquiry into Alternative Medicine and related areas of
knowledge and practice".
Previously when starting this Institute in 1979
we had only one Department of Homeopathy which run a five years professional
course. The distinctive purpose of this Faculty is to raise the status of
Alternative Medicines to the rank it deserves and to turn out
"Physician" thoroughly well trained in respective branch of
medicines.
In 1992 our Faculty has made an affiliation
status with Asian Homeopathic Medical League, Pakistan Homeopathic Medical
College, etc. Thus, open a broader scope of research in the field of
complimentary medicines for the Malaysian and also for humanities all over the
world.
In 1998 With the advised by our International
Bureau, we had set up Full fledge Homeopathic College & Hospital
at 122 Taman Universiti, Kampong Gelang Mas, Pasir Mas, Kelantan. With 10
acres of campus compound and at the estimated cost of RM$ 3.7 millions,
FAHOM New campus is considered as the biggest Homeopathic College and Hospital
in Malaysia with all modern facilities such as multimedia, computer, Internet,
CD Rom, OHP, etc.
On 9th May 2002 Deputy Director, Bahagian Kesihatan
Keluarga, Ministry of Health Malaysia, Dr Hajjah Safurah officiated the Main
Lecture Hall at the Faculty main campus at Pasir Mas. Under TCM program,
The Ministry of Health Malaysia are willing to give support and help in
developing Homeopathy and TCM in Malaysia. Attended by 30 delegates from
various TCM umbrella body and other organization, it was considered as the
biggest event in the history of homeopathy in Malaysia.
[ Please note that: Homeopathy, Acupuncture and TCM has
been recognized in Malaysia by Ministry of Health in year 2000 ]
At this university, we have 5 Department of Studies,
basically:-
1. Department of Homeopathic Medicine
2. Dept. of Islamic Medicines.
3. Dept. of Chinese Medicines
4. Dept. of Malay Medicines
5. Dept. of Indian Medicines and
Each and every department is headed by the dean’s and is the
expert and specialist in their respective field.
This clinical training program has been designed to
meet the objectives of the Ministry of Health Malaysia , WHO and FAHOM to
qualify for international certification.
Candidates who follow this course are provided with
clinical training, practical demonstrations and lectures related to both the
clinical and scientific aspects of Alternative Medicine especially in
homeopathic medicines.

Student of homeopathy who were studying elsewhere but could
not continue their studies because the academy /college / institutes are not
registered or not exist, can now continue their studies with us.
These student may allow to to continue their studies to make
up the total credit hours. We believe in continuing education and give these
students a chance. They can make it with our unique mode of studies
